One of my planned events on the trip – a cruise out to Tiri Tiri island, which is a bird sanctuary where they are trying to bring back some of NZ’s rarer species. Had a great hiking tour around the island with Jenny, our tour guide who also told us about the flowers, trees, history, and so much more. Jenny was a volunteer like all the tour guides, and her 9-5 job is an office manager in Auckland at a Financial Investment firm. Great day.
